F. Mark Sawyer
Writer and Executive Producer
“The Mythos Murders” is Mark’s first feature to be produced. His two completed short films are the award-winning “Dark Landings - the Short” and the Blue Egg Films production, directed by Rachel Taggart, “Souvenirs.”
Mark Sawyer has also written books, plays and on-line essays, but it was with screenplays that he found his home.
Mark has traveled, lived, and worked overseas in Asia, Australia, Africa, and Europe as well as around most of North America. Before his professional filmmaking commenced he filmed promotional and educational videos for Buddhist Temple in Thailand, and around Rishikesh in northern India for an orphanage and children's school and for Ajatananda Ashram.
He attended Darin Scott's Director's Course in 2011, took a certified P.A. course, and has been screenwriting under the watchful eye of hard-core instructor Wally Lane since 2007.
He's visited many of the most holy places in the world, including those of Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Christianity.
A US Army veteran, he served as a Military Policeman, and is a certified martial arts instructor, experiences that have helped in the making of many screenplays. He enjoys hiking, canoeing, and target practice with firearms or crossbows whenever he finds the time.
